Honestly I only use the camera control button just to open the camera app and to quick snap a pic I think everything else it’s kinda of a gimmick and much slower than to just touch the screen for the controls .. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I love my 16 Pro Max mostly because I upgraded from the 14 Pro. Having the Max is much better for me.

I love the Camera Control for:
Launching camera, taking photos and videos, and swiping for zoom.
I’m excited about * two stage shutter * feature and especially, * Visual Intelligence *.
Remember you can change some sensitivity settings and controls for Camera Control in Accessibility Settings.

What kind of monster takes vertical photos with an ultra wide camera? Do you also take panorama photos top to bottom? 😂

The camera button is in the same place as the 5G antenna on previous phones. They probably just made the antenna functional rather than have this weird spot on the side that doesn’t do anything. I’m guessing that’s why it’s in the location it’s in.

if you see the button like a camera, with a camera you don´t use just one hand right? personally I like it, maybe not for selfies but still a great idea! like Sony Xperia button

Great video, thanks for sharing! After watching your review, I'm hesitant to upgrade unless my girlfriend insists. It just doesn't seem worth the price. Still using my 12 Max with no issues. 🤷‍♂️

I have to say, my now almost 10 years old Lumia 950XL (with the obvious camera shutter button) keeps impressing me. It takes better quality shots in 95% of the situations, and in macro it blows Apple away. The only handicap is rather slow autofocus, but you only need that for portraits, which Apple ruins with fake bookieh anyway. So I need to grab my DSLR for that. Oh and OIS in video is bad on the Lumia, but again, making videos on the Apple makes you run into the standard Apple storage problem: iOS still has no USB-3 full speed mass storage mode. I think they will introduce that as the most amazing thing on the iPhone 20.

I regret not having picked up the 13 mini when it was around. I don't need/want a giant phone. I only use my phone when I don't have a laptop, tablet, or pc handy, so it is very rarely. I just need good battery, gps (when traveling), good camera, and phone capabilities and that's about it. My iphone6 is frankly fast enough for my use case, but the battery is down to next to nothing. I basically have a semi-portable landline. If they had a released an updated SE with usb-c I'd be picking that up. I'm done with lightning forever. It's partially why I held off for so long.

While most reviews seem to focus on the little incremental changes to the camera system, how many ‘close to being fanboy’ reviewers did a thorough test on what is the first on any Apple device ever, WiFi7? If they have actually crippled the 320mhz channel width, making thr iPhone 16 really just a WiFi6E device, why is that being ignored for ‘camera review’. Please direct me to a reviewer who actually does ‘technical’ reviews.

Honestly I don’t find any use with the camera control as I am a left handed person. I use that button to Scan QR now 😅And also VIVID filter is no more 😮I am having some issues with selfie, don’t know if any settings is changed.Not getting the image I saw, after clicking it’s changing weirdly

Great review! I just upgraded to the iPhone 16 and I’m loving it so far—the camera and performance are outstanding. Plus, I found a great use for my old iPhone by turning it into a pet cam with an app called Phonitor. Now I can keep an eye on my furry friend while I’m away! 🐶📱

I'm just not really sure what problem the camera button solves: a swipe from the Lock Screen and you're in the camera, then I use volume buttons to capture and touch screen to quickly adjust. I may end up using the camera button for a second action.

Does the improved wide angle sensor improve spatial video on Vision Pro? I love taking Spatial Videos but sharpness and low light performance are not its strong points.

I have sweaty hands and I am worried about this Camera Control...but i would still buy it as I have an iPhone 11 and the upgrade is much needed. 😅
