why you need to read SOLARIS now !

One book I own always gives me nightmares. There are no monsters in this book, just a horrific dive into the human psyche.
Humanity has discovered life on another planet, but contact seems impossible as this being seems completely beyond the realms of human understanding. Scientists spend decades pouring out theories and conducting research and building more and more technological ways of exploring space, when they fail to explore the inner workings of their own minds. This novel violently reminds readers of what it truly means to be human and points at the continuous quest to flee our world because the prospect of looking inside our own minds is truly unimaginable.
Solaris by Stanisław Lew is one of my favorite sci-fi novels and you should read it right now!

When reading this novel one can only ask oneself “who would appear before me in this situation?”. Unfortunately in my case I think I know who that person would be...
I think about it often since I read the book, several years ago. Well-written fiction is undoubtedly a very powerful thing.
