Proof that you don't need excessive violence, excessive profanity, or a budget the size of a Powerball jackpot to craft a fantastic thriller of a movie.

Probably the best sub scene filmed.
Holds up well.

His relieving of that officer shows just how precise his count had to be. That's the mark of a true sea captain: the instruments are only there to confirm what you already know, learned from decades of sailing the waves.

A fitting tribute to the late Sir Sean Connery.

The sonar ping must be the scariest sound on a sub.

The actor who fires the torpedo from the Tu-142 Bear was Andrew Divoff who started as the Russian villain Mikhail Bakunin in the series Lost.

So much going on in this scene. Summed up in one word: timing. Connery: "Not yet." ("Captain, we're out of the lane!) Like life. Sometimes you need to defy the crowd... realizing you actually do know...what they don't.

1:18-1:22 Wait, that’s Kravchenko! Of course he’s involved in all this, I thought he was dealing with requiem in the Urals!

Thank you so much for not mashing as many ads as you can into each video. I get so sick of how many ads are all over YouTube. It’s a nice change of pace to watch your videos without constantly being interrupted. Thank you so much.

Encourages me to actually watch your ads when they come, because they’re respectfully positioned. I don’t mind helping support you but once the ads get too bad (as most youtubers do) it drives everyone away. So again, we appreciate you!

Hi Johnny! With Memorial Day weekend approaching a WWII-set movie that sometimes makes its way to the TV is "Battleground." I've often thought scenes from that movie would be great on your channel.
