These cactus where introduced into Australia to establish a cochineal industry which fails and let to spread of this cactus. Not sure how this method would work considering it failed and basically created the issue to begin

I'm from Arizona. Cochineal doesn't kill cactus (here anyway). It's easier to just dig it up, and pile it so it can compost. I'm a fiber artist and the interesting thing about cochineal is how many different colors you can get shifting ph with acid and alkaline mordants

I’m allergic to this horrid colouring. Please keep them out of foods and drinks ! It is not a natural fruit colour! It’s dead bugs!🙏
