After owning my Tesla Model 3 Performance for a few months now, I figure it was time to give my opinion. As someone who has owned a Tesla Model S and Tesla Model X, I have a pretty deep understanding of the brand and what you can expect throughout the life of your vehicle. Also, I was able to compare my car against a Model 3 Standard Range Plus and a Model 3 Dual Motor, so see what you get at each trim level. Let's get into it!

I got my Model 3 Performance back in December here in Australia and it is the best car I have ever driven and owned. I will never go back to petrol cars again... however yes I did have some QC issues. Misaligned boot (trunk), one door was misaligned, scratched glass, nice dent in the front bumper and a stanley knife mark on the passenger A pillar... But Tesla came through without any hassles and fixed all of this. Since then nothing but enjoyment.

Tesla reviews are weird. I always feel like they get a pass on the quality control stuff, because tech guys aren’t car guys and are willing to ignore very basic qc issues? I dunno...I feel like half of that stuff wouldn’t fly on a brand new honda or Toyota, so for the price, you should expect quality in the same league as comparably price vehicles. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I absolute love the red with those rims and the chrome delete. Not a better color combo. It's what I plan to gt on mine someday.
The whole time I kept wondering why the rear bumper was a different color in the trunk and at the end of the video it made sense. They replaced it at delivery. Jon, I'm not sure you can talk about quality being good when you complain about doors not shutting right and having to replace bumper on day 1. Great video though. My 'good' must not be the same as yours. To me and I'd imagine most tesla owners, the driving experience outweighs most build issues with the car. If the driving experience wasn't as amazing. People wouldn't keep coming back.
