Tylenol - How Much & How Often Can You Take It?

Brad and Chris the Pharmacist discuss everything you need to know about Tylenol.

Some of our astute followers have noticed me slurring my words. I am not drunk but working with Brad it would be justifiable. I had 6 infected cysts removed from my mouth (noncancerous) and I have residual scar tissue and numbness. I will try to do better. Thanks Bob.

My experience is that Paracetamol (as it's named here in Sweden) does absolutely NOTHING with pain, but works well with fever. If combined with Ibuprofen it can be helpful with heavy pain, but not alone.

Tylenol has never done anything for my pain. I stick to Asprin to lower fever or take care of pain. I eat or drink milk when I take it. I’ve taken it this way for the last 60 years.

This is the best channel on YouTube! I'm hooked. Glad I discovered Bob & Brad. Three drinks a day is heavy drinking! Yikes, I will stop at 2 per day.

Why didn’t he mention the 650 mg dose? It’s called Arthritis strength Tylenol/Acetaminophen.

That was a great video👏🏾👏🏾 I’m glad I listened to it.. I take Tylenol for arthritis and back pain..I compared the generic to the namebrand and it seemed as if to be the same thing ..so that’s what I buy ..and it really does work.. I thought there was no difference ..I’m glad I made the right choice to do this.. you’re paying for the name when it comes to Tylenol.. the equivalent works just as well..The dosage .. I use is different..I do not take the Maximum dosage because I have issues with my kidneys.. I take two 500 mg every 12 hours which really helps me make it through the day ..and night..This was the recommendation from my doctor because I cannot take prescription pain medication. guys. ..Thanks For posting this video🥰

Tylenol brand comes in Extended Release 650 mg which is what I take, brand only, because store brands are different - I have tried them, not only do they not work as well for me but they contain a whole bunch of extra "fillers" which I am highly sensitive to and I found out the hard way I cannot take them. Incidentally, I get very little pain relief with Tylenol, the extended release is supposed to last 8 hours but I can barely get five to six hours minimal help as I'm a fast metabolizer, so everyone's different as you know, but thanks for the info.

thank you! Which would be better, the caplets? Or capsule? The capsule works faster?

Thanks for the info, good to know. But can we be take Tylenol daily for long term, say years? Any side effect?

I like the name brand only because I keep them in a bottle with other meds in my purse, and the name brand has it stamped on the pill.
