My wife and I love your videos. I just turned 60. She’s 53. I’m trying to do as much traveling now as I can. I use to go solo and went on photographic trips out West (I live in New Hampshire). We just got back from a driving trip to West Virginia. It’s beautiful there. A tip for you Allison- you should come to the White Mountains in New Hampshire and to Vermont the first two weeks of October. Specifically drive the Kangamagus Highway and bring your drone. There’s nothing like the Autumn Colors there. Our next road trip is to Lake Willoughby in Vermont the first week of October. Then Scotland or Italy next year. Thanks again for your videos. Peace.

In the process of planning a 3 month solo Europe trip (not backpacking, but carry-on-ing 😂) I keep doubting myself and going back and forth as to whether I should go through with it as it is SO BIG, expensive, lots of forms of public transport which means lots can go wrong and it'll be my first time in non-english speaking countries...but I'm gonna take this as my sign to stop doubting and start doing! Allison, I was so inspired by your fabulous video chronicling your Namibia Safari, I just added my name to the list for the April 2024 Nambia Photo Safari organized by SafariFrank. I'm 65 and in good physical condition, all things considered, and now is the time to go if I want to go. Ten years from now, I might not have the energy. Although I have been on tours with women in their 80's who had more energy than most people in their 20's. The point is I have that yearning for adventure. My idea of adventure may be different from when I was in my 30's but a sense of adventure, nonetheless. I have traveled solo all over the world. I congratulate you on encouraging young women to take the plunge. If you're smart and safe about it, traveling the world can be an amazing, awe-inspiring adventure! (-; And, btw - there are some real travel deals out there to be had. For those on a tight budget, look for airfare deals and cruise line deals. They are there. You may have to save up your money and keep looking for the right one to come along, but the airlines and cruise lines have sales that just might make a trip "doable."
