If it is Autumn, definitely pay the ticket and go into Kiyomizudera temple. The view opposite, overlooking the main wooden stage, with a sea of red maple leaves. It was stunning especially during sunset. My friends got tired after all the walking. Choose to wait outside and not go in. Big regrets after I showed them the videos and photos I took.

For me Kyoto is the second best Japanese City behind Tokyo! Kyoto is still very very beautiful and I'd always recommend to visit this place when you travel to Japan

Kyoto is beautiful. The main attacrations can be crowded but with more time there is so much more to see without the crowds. I feel that you two will be back in Japam soon enough to explore some more🥰
