I just did new water pump and thermostat on my 93 Dakota v6. The hoses top and bottom hoses are hot but the radiator cap is cold. Everything seems fine though. I drove around for an hour or so, came home the system is pressurized but the cap is fairly cool. Is this normal?

2014 Dodge Avenger 2.4L, upper hose becomes hot, lower is cold even after 40 min highway drive. Coolant Temp goes up to 210.
