Atomos CONNECT for Ninja V - BUY THIS INSTEAD! #cinechimp #atomosninjav

I was surprised when my new ATOMOS Connect for my ninja V arrived and was completely useless as every feature I purchased it for was locked behind a paywall.

SO when you add up all the costs, $99 for the connect, $79 dollars for the OS 11 upgrade, and $99 dollars for NDI, totalling $227 before taxes just to connect an ipad, I should have just SOLD the Ninja V and bought the SHIMBOL ZO600MS for $500 which would have saved me more than the cost of the connect and all of the silly licences.

We live and learn. Hope this helps you not make the same mistake.

I bought 2x Ninja V for $750 each when they came out. Then had to shell out another $100 per feature per monitor. So if I wanted to unlock h265. It’s not $100 for me but $200 for both. I hated this. Then ProRes raw, another $200. Etc

So I basically spent over $1, 200 for each Ninja V and this does not include the wireless module. They keep adding funnel costs and I’m done with their BS

Interesting! I was extremely peeved as an owner of a pre reduced connect unit and had previously already paid Atomos 200 dollars for H265 and ProRes raw codecs, not only because the unit was now a quarter of the original price plus with the codecs thrown in, but more for the fact that even though they finally unlocked system 11 for the original Ninja V but they still require those of us that already upgraded most codecs to pay 75 dollars for the new upgrade which only has EL zone as a new feature for those of us that have already have everything else! I think that is cheap and punishes us that supported them at full price! However I now see that, they have stitched you up too because all my ins and outs on the connect work great! They get your money some how no matter how they package it!😂 👍🏾🙏🏾 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇸🇪🇹🇹

If all the features came with the unit and the cost of that unit was equal to what you have paid would it have been a better experience for you?

ya but the conect is not ment for recorder to a second monitor
its is primarily ment for camera to cloud stream and as a proxi file encoder and remote team editor

11.04.01 had a lot of activation failures. Any changes to your experience after the 11.04.02 upgrade?
