Yes I purchased the Connect for my Ninja V and love it. However if I’m using an Arri Alexa or A RED Dragon 6K and I connect the SDI out of the camera to the Atomos Connect 12G, the goal is to press record on one device my camera and it triggers the Atomos and Atomos does all the camera to cloud magic. For some reason there’s a few kinks that need to be work out and I need help.

Hi, thanks for an inspiring video. I have the Shogun Connect with Sony FX9 and have just started recording with Prores RAW, editing in Resolve. I find that there are not so many options when you want to import media into Resolve and keep the RAW opportunities. Now I use Cinema DNG-files converted in Assimilate Play studio Pro, but it is not very comfortable with all these small files. Will this work with the workflow you describe when it comes to reconnecting the originals or do you have other suggestions for software to convert the RAW files?

Lets say i have 2 ninja v both with connect module and i do live production. When i switch from cam a to cam b, first where the recorded files go? Second, do i get the iso recordings too? Do i have the option for an xml file that i can than import to premier to swap the video with the original 4k saves from the ninja v but still keep the switches ive done? If yes… i would gladly pay the studio plan to atomos, otherwise why bother with online switcher when i can use just any switcher like atem pro iso and have all the iso files and program feed. Please enlighten me.

Hi, Question, we tested the connect with the ninja for live streaming. When plugging our audio directly into the ninja we found the audio was not being outputted via the atoms connect. Do you happen to know why that might be or the settings relating to that. When using in camera audio outputted via hdmi to the ninja there was a marked latency with the video lagging behind the audio. We were attempting to go via the ninja direct in order to delay the audio and sync it with the video. Thanks

I have an FX6 and I have the shogun Connect, I am having trouble recording any other format then RAW even thought I change the output on both SDI and HDMI and even when I change the format on cam. The record button is greyed out on every other format. What am I missing?

Does this send HEVC SRT directly from the unit or does it send h264 to cloud and then from cloud as HEVC over SRT to final destination?

It does not support 8k RAW, this is incorrect. I searched everywhere for this until I found on the website that this is not possible.

As a sole owner of a photography business attempting to stay ahead of learning curves, think this is really cool. It clearly adds the ability to save production time, in REAL TIME! It really even can help a sole photographer, such as I, create a team of better creators. I guess my only concerns would be the cost of Atomos Cloud storage compared to that of Adobe, which most of us all use. Since I'm already roped into Adobe everything, will I be able to do this CTC with only Atomos, or can we connect it to cloud service? Thanks for your reply in Advance! –Will

Why's there been no mention of the assumption of good internet ~ is this thing intended solely for in studio work?

You can’t do 8k on this monitor. Hdmi 2.0a only supports 4k 60fps and 4k 120fps at reduced color. And with sdi, you need four streams of 12g sdi to support 8k 60. If they really wanted 8k put a hdmi 2.1b or four 12g sdi outputs.
