Filmmaker and content creator Sidney Diongzon recently discovered the awesome power a Ninja V/V+ can bring to his trusty Sony A7SIII. Intrigued by the capabilities promised by connectivity and the implications for remote editing, Sidney decided to test the ultimate upgrade module for Ninja V/V+, ATOMOS CONNECT. Three friends from across North America were enlisted to participate in camera-to-cloud collaboration, and they were all were amazed at how this new workflow can cut down both production and post-production times.

Sidney first runs through the main features of the ATOMOS CONNECT, including support for more camera models with a 12G-SDI port, as well as SDI to HDMI cross-conversion. Sidney also comments on the addition of two WiFi-6 antennae for livestreaming and camera-to-cloud workflows, and the AirGlu™ antenna for synchronization of timecode between multiple devices and support for the AtomRemote app. Sidney was pleased to see an RJ45 Ethernet port that can be used for wired connection to the internet when in a studio environment.

Wow, impressive example video Sidney and team Atomos! I love my Atomos Connect which I am using with my Ninja V+ and my NinjaV. However, for events, I tend to use my Zato Connect rather because I need overlays. Atomos, please, please could you implement overlays for the Atomos Connect too? (Or maybe enable watermarking in Atomos Cloud Studio?)

Amazing--but how do we get these files INTO Premiere Pro at this point?

Nice demonstration!
I am interested how good it works with a Custom RTMP. So if I got this right it is possible to upload the proxy files directly to a NAS system.
This would be insane if it is going to work properly 🙂

I'm curious about the setup requirements for multiple Atomos monitors equipped with the Atomos Connect module. Specifically, do I need to use a cloud service for the monitors to communicate with each other, or is it enough to register them over local Wi-Fi? Furthermore, is registering them on a local network necessary at all for communication and signal transmission to a director's monitor?

For instance, if I have two Ninja 5.2 monitors with the Live Connect, would they be able to broadcast to a Shogun 7 with Connect and achieve dual-screen viewing without relying on the paid Atomos Cloud service? Also, is this functionality tied to NDI, which appears to be a paid service? I haven’t found much information on this, so any clarification would be helpful.

Question:

isn't there a Starter plan for the atomos cloud studio, if so, how does one sign up for it? On the login I do not see an option.
