I hear online you can't connect full size ssd with the master caddy is that right? I dont see anything in the way in the pictures

Looks cool 😊 I have no use for it. However I have two things I that’d be better (for me):
1. Wirelessly send 8K signal from camera (dongle) to my Ninja V+ (makes it lighter on the gimbal, might be too much to ask for…)
2. Tap the Atomos Ninja V+ to focus my Canon R5 (one can tap the iPhone to focus when using the Canon app) so it should be possible.

So we purchased an ATOMOS CONNECT for our Ninja Vs .... here's what we've found out so far (8/11/2022)...

1. MasterCaddy II drive enclosures no longer fit with the CONNECT connected. You have to use the newer smaller drives. Luckily we had some Angelbird AtomX Mini SDD to use.
2. Wireless Timecode is BROKEN! There is no way to join the CONNECT to other Bluetooth Timecode devices like a Zoom F6 field recorder. We've been unable to even join the CONNECT to a Ninja with the AtomX Sync module.
3. Integration with Frame.io REQUIRES you go through ATOMOS CLOUD ... which I'm sure they will want to charge a subscription for. Really don't understand why the CONNECT can't just directly connect to Frame.io. Why the complexity of going through ATOMOS CLOUD?
4. When using Camera to Cloud, the ProRes RAW codec is not available. The whole reason we use the Ninja Vs is for ProRes RAW. We wanted the CONNECT to upload H.265 proxies to link up later with the high quality ProRes RAW 12-bit files. So if you're using the CONNECT you're limited to ProRes.

Sadly this looks to be a product they shipped with very few features working. It's really embarrassing to see ATOMOS over promise and UNDER deliver.

I just bought this Atomos connect and I cannot use my master caddy 2. I would need master caddy 3 and I can't find it anywhere online. Why would you ship Atomos Connect without master caddy 3? You know Atomos Connect is not compatible with Master Caddy 2. This is bogus.
