Yes! It looks like a mess to anybody else that sees my piles. But I know exactly where everything is. It bothers me when anyone moves anything from it.

Yep, my piling system doesn't work. I'm so fascinated that scientists figured this out 🤩

The message behind the message...

Their life FEELS like that pile they create that should make sense to them, but doesn't.

We don't just communicate verbally.

Sometimes, instinctively due to circumstances, we will resort to body language as a last resort when we can't or don't know how to communicate what we are feeling verbally.

And the non verbal communication is actually our truest form of communication. 👍

Oh Dr Huberman how might we solve this. . . . I am one of these folk. My best solve is to actually be ultra-minimalist. But wait, I love shoes and boots and art supplies.... and 💛💚

I've learned that I have to have things out where I can see them. Like open shelving in my kitchen so everything is right where I can see it and grab it easily without having to move anything.

It mostly works for me. I could probably name maybe 4 or 5 times in my 52 year life when it hasn't worked, so I did some rearranging. But I also have fantastic memory so I know where everything is.

Everything is organized, always or i can't focus but it was a long road to arrive here for me...shoot with the exception of hoodies and sweaters-the pile I'm staring at that just won't die

So if it doesn't work... what will work?

People with ADHD have lots of objects!!! Real objects!
Sure, some of them are lost their meaning but that does not mean it lost forever!

Problem is I don't have shelves to put all that staff! And I don't think to mind horizontal shelf to vertical ha-ha .

My pile system is staged according to what I need to remember to do. And sometimes, actually pretty often, it works . You got a better idea ? I'd love to hear that ....

My wife thinks she has ADHD but is quite organized. She just lacks the commitment to complete tasks.

I agree. I was also the kid who showed up w a butt plug everyday. Was hard to deal with the teasing at 1st but eventually they listened once I opened em up. I’d imagine you’re experience was similar?

You WILL find? Someone with DOES? That implies it's all the time and a science. NO not everyone with ADHD will use or will do. They may. There was a studie and these people may do this. It's a characteristic that doesn't always occur
