Its amazing how much things we know about the universe just by observing it, from Earth or satellites, image the day we would be able to travel through space like in Space movies such as Star Treck etc...fucking amazing.
The sad thing here is that I wont live long enough to see this happening :(

Some would say that this video is pretty attractive.

"Researchers aren't positive if..." Was that a pun right now?

Ten thousand years is like a blink of an eye in terms of the life of a star! It's amazing we've discovered the Magnetars we have!

As much as I love all SciShow presenters, Caitlyn Hofmeister is my favorite. Always so damn happy and excited!

Uranus is the strongest attractor around here. Its even stronger internally.

When she said it was 550, 000 year, old and still going; I seriously expected the Energizer Bunny to come out and do his thing! Thanks for the letdown SciShowSpace!!!

I love magnetars. They make my brain hurt when I think about them. That's how you know there is some really great science involved.

Magnetar vs Magneto.

Round 1, fight!
Magnetar rips the iron from Magneto's body. Finish him!
Magnetar rips him apart on a subatomic level. Brutality!

I wonder how much electrical energy we could get of that baby (via induction) if we built a modified dyson sphere around it...

If neutrons are neutrally charged, where does the magnetic field come from?

Magnetars happen when Magneto gets angry. You don't want to see Magneto angry.

Stefan did a workshop at VidCon Europe yesterday showing the process of editing this video. It was great to watch and learn. Thank you! Also the video itself is great. Learn something every day :)

Do you know what has the smelliest magnet field?

Could you please just use scientific notation. 10^12 is much easier to understand, there's a reason we developed it for science!

"Imagine the mass of the sun squeezed into a 20 km sphere, and you will have a good idea of how dense neutron stars are."

No, I won't, because both of those numbers are too big for me to comprehend.

Home of Magneto. Can you imagine the power he would wield with magnets that powerful?
