Wow the possibility of using high shutter speed and a flash without using hss sounds really good...even if it is up to 1/8000 it'd be a great thing

At that shutter speed you would only be using a fraction of the duration of the flash. Impressive read out speed. I guess you would really need to learn your t0.1 data to be able to use this to best effect.

Great news Miguel, thx! 👍🏻 I work often with a wireless setup (2x HVL-F60RM2 and the WRC1M). Should hopefully no problem with the a9 III …

Nice, this is what I was wondering as well. Yes, theoretically we cannot capture all the light from the flash at speeds above 1/1000s but what are the actual results and how does the amount of light we are able to capture affect the subject compared to the background. We should mention that we are not able to capture all the light from the sun as well :).
Great work, keep it up!

This can result in more light output and less strain on the flash.

We tried today with Godox as well and it didn’t let us go over 1/500 sec

Well, for those who never used film the term "film reciprocity" will mean nothing. But do digital sensors have the same problem? Where you have to add expodure time because the film (image sensor) just loses sensitivity at high speeds?

For that kind of money I rather get a medium format fujifilm

The most important note folks: without High Speed Sync (HSS).

This is the true benefit of the global shutter. Crazy!

Why not that at f1.8 and 500mm away from u face, that's same as 5000 @f7

That's cool but for real now, the fuck are you doing that you need a 1/80000 flash

Nobody wants a photo like that. Lighting is hideous. Need more light to make it attractive
