who knew by being broke, we’re actually helping to save the environment lmao

Still using iphone se 2016 and will continue using it till it falls apart. _Right to repair_ needs to become the main selling point of all new devices! If a device isn't repairable, it isn't green! Period.

Just like I think people need to understand how their food gets to their plate, people need to understand how their other products get to them too. If we see the damage caused by high turnover of products we'd be more inclined to make them last longer

My rule of thumb: Never replace something until it's broken and can't be fixed.

I take a different route, I replace my phone every 1-3 years however I buy the last generation flagships that nobody wants anymore, you can find very nice phones with high-end specs like the SD855, at only a quarter the price of whatever a new phone costs, you won't necessarily see THE phone you want but any flagship is so much better than getting some ~$200 budget phone.

I used my iPhone 6 from 2014 (bought it right after launch) till November 2020, when I upgraded to the SE2. I gave my 6 to my dad to replace his iPhone 5 and he is still using the 6 to this day.

I agree, everyone constantly overhyped a new phone all the time.

This video is one of the best initiatives taken over by any channel..
Guys, we need to understand the consequences of such scenarios. I, Take a pledge to use any electronic device for more than three years.. And I request to whoever reads this also should do the same. We are in phase where we decide the future of our planet...
Please share this video to as many as possible..

I used to change my phone every 4 years. However, I have used my current mobile (iPhone 7) for almost 5 years already. I’m planning to replace it this year and give it to my dad who has used old Nokia for almost 10 years.
If something works, there isn’t really need for changing it, unless you are lacking some functionalities.

It's not consumer's fault if hungry corporations use tactics as planned obsolescence.

Excellent video! I'm definitely sticking with my iPhone 11 for at least one more year. Works great and still loving it! May replace the battery soon though.

I’ve held onto my iPhone 7 and I’m due for an upgrade this year. You definitely shouldn’t replace your phone every year.
