I have found that the lack of software updates has been a key factor and a reason why I needed to upgrade. Given how much Linus and Luke talk about this on the WAN show, I was a little disappointed it wasn't covered in this video.

Had my S9+ for over 2.5 years and it's still in great shape. Only the odd glitch and momentary freeze here and there. I had my reservations about getting the flagship model at the time due to cost, but I'm glad I did as hopefully, the phone will last a long longer than previous models I've had. Personally, I've never understood the need to upgrade every year/2 years. I've always had a curiosity to see how long I can get things to last and make the next phone last longer than the last one, etc., and hopefully still be in good nick (no smashed screen) when it's time to upgrade

Hi James! A cool idea for a video would be to make a study case about which phone tier should someone buy, based on people's needs, showing examples from the LMG staff. Not everyone uses a phone to play games, but some tiers should only be considered when the budget is very tight.

I've still got my Huawei from 5 years ago, and it works ok for what I use it for. However, there are starting to be apps that are no longer supported on my version of android (7), so I'm starting to consider an upgrade. I wish this was easier than it is
