Nuclear Physics is the study of matter at the nuclear level.
Quantum Mechanics is the study of matter at the fundamental particle level.

The world is becoming so advanced, with so much information available I think it's overwhelmed many people. That's why I think so many people know so little, many people just shut down when confronted with so much information. :P

@iamgig9876 When I started learning chemistry and physics, the teachers always told me that the biggest difference between these 2 types of science is that physics studies nature that doesn't change, alter; basically the laws of nature that are always there and can't be altered. Chemistry however studies how nature (matter) can change (which refers to the fact that during a chemical reaction, molecules are altered to create other molecules by reassembling the atoms). This is a bit too simplistic

I think it's really sad. :( Also, it reflects on the education system, if people cannot even remember what the subject is about and when pushed all they associate with chemistry is the periodic talbe, instead of amazing things(i.e. reactions) happening eveywhere.
