Removing yourself from destructive environments is key to any success.

I never had the ambition to be “successful” according to this world. My father was very successful & happy. But my mother & our family suffered. I am successful because I found the truth I was searching for. I waited all my life for Him.

You make a lot of sense. Living in a free society we need more people working to succeed. A rising tide lifts all boats.

>“I went to an event for high-performing entrepreneurs and the question was asked of the room, ‘How many of you have achieved your financial goals?’ Amazingly, 80 percent of the room raised their hand. Then the question was asked, ‘How many of you feel successful?’ and 80 percent of the hands went down. This example alone shows that there is little to no connection between the standard measurement of success and the feeling of success.”<>

The truth is, success is unique to you. Only you can truly define success in your life based upon your hearts deepest desires in the pursuit of worthy ideals. You have to own yourself and ensure your coming from the best version of yourself and respecting yourself enough to own it despite the haters.

success is determined early. we can just look at stats. If you were born into a stable family, you had a better chance than someone who experienced divorce as a kid. If you grew up in a single parent household, you probably didn't develop as quickly as other kids. The psychological affects of knowing one or both of your parents didn't really care, conditioned you to be alone a lot, which of course affected your ability to get along in the world as an adult. If you had a parent who helped you out in different areas, taught you to drive, to tie a tie, taught you how to fight, and so forth, you would have been ahead of the kid who didn't have any of that, because it would have given you the confidence. If you had a parent that helped you with your career, maybe your father had associates who offered you a job, or maybe your father had his own business, and you got your foot in the door early. Think of the kid who had to figure all of that out, one failure at a time.

Successful people don't become that way overnight. What most people see at a glance-wealth, a great career, purpose-is the result of hard work and hustle over time.
