It is called chips floor in our country
In past, almost every house have had this floor
These were not tiles
The mixture was made on floor and spreaded all-over and then polished
But
With advancement in society, people started usin marble like sunny white, grey nite etc

I take that back, if double stacked I think it could really be something. Use the bigger pieces but use them almost intertwined like they do the smaller ones

It will be so much more time efficient if you pour the mixture first, then place and push down the tile pieces. They are going to polish anyway
