FF14 no matter how hard I tried to get into no matter how many people tell me it gets better, it just never does for me.... So many people also make me feel almost guilty for not liking it.... On another note, New world was probably the most fun I had had in an mmo in years and I cannot wait for the release.

I avoided FFXIV at all costs. Was never my type of game. Until past few months with the mass exodus happening, me included.... I gave FFXIV another try.. Like, an actual try. Long story short, I'm blown away at how good the game is. Theres so much to do without FEELING you have to do it all. You can just do it, whenever. As for the graphics, yes.... The first expansion is a little meh. But I think they stopped making it for PS3 at one point and you see the graphics get way better along with the world opening up much more.

But all of their mechanics for bosses and what not are absolutely amazing.

I love Guild Wars 2 but everything about it feels like drinking from a fire hose. I get overwhelmed easily by it. Partly my fault as all the classes feel so unique I can't just 'main' one.

I've been playing New World and it's been a refreshing experience compared to the previous games I've played.

Gw2 well i gotta say that most players are already at the end game( EU servers) so it might be hard for new comers to get parties to dungeons etc. I recently quit Gw2 to play Bless Unleashed so far so good and i have really been enjoying it. World bosses are a murder though. They REALLY make you feel like you are in this life or death battle because most of the time you do get killed by a boss but you are in luck because there are nice ppl to help u to get back on your feet :)

FF14... Objectively bad design? And who are you to make such a declaration? How are you the authority on that? What's your reasoning, what's your credentials, where's the studies or whatever you're basing this objectivity on? If you subjectively hate it, cool, though it doesn't even look like you've done much, but once you start screeching "Well actually, it's objectively bad"... I have to say you might have a few screws loose.

I'm also a little bewildered that a guy who talks MMOs says FF14 is somehow special in it's lack of co-opness... compared to other MMOs?... How so? You have fates, PvP, dungeons, raids, an overworld to hunt bosses, mobs, do whatever, be social, yada yada. There's an entire housing system... Chocobo races... minigames... randomized dungeons to do with people... On what planet or crazy alternate dimension are you playing FF14? Sounds like you're doing a lot of talking out of your butt to me. There's so much going on with that game. The only thing that's totally solo, is obviously the MSQ, because it wants to tell you a story, a very heavy, very engaging, very well told story. You can get away with half paying attention and skim reading through most of ARR, but everything beyond that is pure gold imo.

it's a real shame you decided to try to ride the algorithm to get attention to this video when it's such a... such a really just poor take lol... was this intentional to bait engagement? I have to assume it was... in which case, bravo, you got me.

GW2 is great as well. Albion was a meh for me. New World... my friends have said good things, but I have yet to try it. I'd also highly suggest Elder Scrolls Online, and Star Wars: The Old Republic, those are my two favorite MMOs, next to FF14.

I took a break from FFXIV for a month and played GW2 - still a long way to 80 to get to max level because I have no idea what I'm doing. Then went back to FFXIV for the Make it Rain event.

I am sure GW2 is a good game but I just have more fun in XIV.

Would love to get into FFXIV but years back I installed it for the 30 day free trial, kinda forgot about it, and now this week I tried getting into the free trial up to lv60 but apparently I'm not able to because of some sort of license my square account has, which I'm guessing is a problem because of the 30 day free trial I missed out on before :/

one of the reasons i dont play guild wars is cuz of the weapon lock skill system.. i hate it... look at old guild wars and how many skills there were, the hardmode farming, solo instance farms...
just.. eh... having same skills all the time just gets old too quick...

Lost Ark is coming to EU/NA. I am playing it on the Russian servers, and it seems like it is getting more popular every day. From what I have played so far, the gameplay is awesome and great and to me is one of the most hyped MMO's coming next to New World.

How do you guys even play GW2 ? i tried to play it, but it is still running on dx9 even with dx912 addon i couldnt get more than 50 fps and frametimes were massive over 20ms, i find that quite unplayable experience. I would understand it if i had a shit pc, but that is not the case.

GW2 doesn’t compare to FFXIV imo having played both. Sounds like you just played gw2 longer. Now a days most mmos don’t really compare to FFXIV in terms of content. Playing to the first dungeon isn’t really giving the game a chance when that takes an hour if not less… New world I feel is overhyped cause it’s new but feels like any mmo with that gameplay that usually dies in the end cause no content/story. Being honest no mmo right now is truly worth playing

FFXIV is a very good game but it's just not for me..no faction war, no pvp, combat is based on animation locks and server ticks..very proactive rather than reactive doesn't feel right for me. I have like 7 lvl 80s and i can say i tried but not sold entirely.
