Fan of ebikes, this is the first I have seen of someone taking a fast ebike and going through registering for legal road use - fantastic and subscribed. Magura has been making eBike brakes for a long time now, originally the MT7e, which was discontinued, and now just the MT5e and MT4e. Plus they are dual pistonm, use waterproof HiGo connectors, and have the switch integrated into the lever.

Interestingly you said the VIN number should be on the offside in part one but it’s on the near side. I know the video is a couple of years old and I’ve been watching your more recent videos. Not aware of the Ebikes current status of it was ever completed in the end.

Can you put the horn inside the main chassis somewhere since its "blooming loud"? It will improve the looks and reduce clutter on the outside (at 8:41 in the vid). I plan to do this on my build.

hey Andy you should check out street legal endure tires I have a 19" front tire on my rear because of the size of he tire it looks great on the back just something you can look into and they are DOT approved thanks keep out the good work victor

I am not 100% sure about registering ebike in UK, but here in Germany the kickstand should be self folding as only you push up the bike, check this. p.s. Thank you for mentioning our store in video.

thank you for doing this vlog as i am looking at doing the same but with a different bike ... why have you fitted indicators they are not required plus are you going to provide a link for all the parts you have you sorted the tires out yet ... has it passed the test

Pretty shure there is a version of the magura mt5 with a cutoff and ball-end lever...

+andy kirby I was about to upgrade from 2kw to 5kw but 14kw sounds a lot nicer. Did you get that on alibaba? I can't seen to find anything. There was an 8kw hub motor but it was about twice the size of your hub. Please help out a fellow ebike mad scientist. Cheers.

Andy: Its a real shame you did not feed the wires through the frame and through the swing arm. this would protect against all weather aspects...

How much have you spent on doing this? Would it not be easier to buy an ebike? Also wouldn't you also need to get insurance for it? I know tax wouldn't be an issue-no emissions 😊
