How to get Dolby Atmos on Playstation 5

How to get Dolby Atmos on Playstation 5 PS5.
Make sure to enable Bistream (Dolby) to get Dolby Atmos, also there is a setting in the bluray app menu for PS5 where you can get Bitstream (Dolby) to enable Dolby Atmos.

I have an lgsk10y soundbar. Dolby Atmos worked fine on my xbox one X. On the ps5 I don't have Dolby bitstream like this video in settings. Just Dolby. So when I try and select bitstream in the movie settings it's greyed out. Any ideas please?

I tried setting this but the Ps5 in menu when the movie is played won’t let me select bitstream it’s grayed out. I can only select bitstream from the main system menu. Is there a reason why it’s grayed out?

So I try to watch a UHD movie on my PS5 but it just says Dolby Surround Sound on my soundbar and not Atmos. However, when I play the exact same movie in the Vudu app on the PS5, that plays it in Atmos. Any clue what's going on there?

what about the audio hdmi input format in the tv settings? i have e9 but no soundbar, is pcm or bitstream better for the built-in soundbar of the e9? although the ps5 switches automatically if you change it in the tv menu but not the other way around.

Thanks for the video. However, I'm gonna point out something on 8:13, you paused the movie before you hitting the magic cursor thing on your TV. In order to it changed to Dolby Atmos-compatible config, you have to do the quick setup thingy on your TV *WHILE THE MOVIE IS STILL PLAYING*, that also applies on the other apps as well. I hope this might help.

This helped so much. I couldn't figure out why I kept getting stereo out of my TV with ARC only with movies when I was getting surround in everything else. I looked at at least 10 videos before this one that didn't help. Wish I good give more likes!

the sound format priority will only apply for gaming or streaming. For 4k film you only have to select bitstream in the player menu...

R u using the digital out in your tV? Or r u sing the Hdmi adaptor with digital out..because ps5 do not have digital out port..

I believe the first setting you changed was for games only. The second setting is for movies and it should persist from movie to movie.
