Thanks for this. It is very much needed. I'll look inot it thoroughly my problem being the scope of the variables in Blender. Namely, I want to get information from the material shader into the geometry nodes on the fly (without having to bake them). Like using the Fresnel as a mask into geometry nodes.

If you have any say with the Blender people, please tell them. We'd like to be able to define the scope of an attribute the same way we define it's domain. That would be control.
