Welcome back guys! In today’s video I finally fix the last problem that was locking me out of 2nd gear at high RPM’s. Turns out my shifter cables were pretty stretched at 190K so I replaced them with 80K mile cables and I can now quick shift into second gear. Other things that may cause this are a bad CMC or Slave cylinder

Dude. Thank you so much for explaining the cable routing. I couldn't remember how they went and the install guide was absolutely useless in this regard. I tried so many different ways and none of them were working. Was ready to set the thing on fire and kick it in a lake. Lol.

hell yeah brother, saw this 2 years ago and always wanted to get it done, getting my trans rebuild this week bc i missed too many gears and the rear main seal was leaking like a mf... you already know, new cables and motor mount to kill that bunny hop!!

Question I have this issue with my 07 si k24 swapped still have my k20z3 trans I replaced my shifter cables with junkyard shifter cables bad choice (hard times) because send 4th and reverse are gone in less than 2 months of cables swap work sometimes did you have issues with 4th 6th and reverse??? Occasionally??? A yes would give me hope 😢

Just installed some today, good tip is install the shifter side first>then the brackets> then the transmission side or you're going to be fighting the tension of the cables when putting them on. The cable that go under the shifter is marked with a yellow dot and the other cable goes on the side. It took me 3 hours fighting the cables to figure this out.

I have to do this because second is annoying to get, 4th feels funny and reverse is made like 80% of the time. Obviously that cable is stretched.

I changed the shifter cable last week and I still have it hard shifting in 2nd and reverse. What’s the proper solution. Checking in from st lucia. Guys here aren’t too knowledgeable about my car

I got a question when you changed the cables did the shift selector stop having play to you because at the moment my selector has a lot of play and not sure if I should change the cables and the selector or just the cables
