Hello Dorian! I am a 51 yr old woman with 5 children and 2 grandchildren and I am learning to code. Your video's are very inspiring and really hit home on a lot of things. I kind of feel like I'm the only 51 yr old out there doing that but I can't imagine that's true. Anyway, just wanted to say I really enjoy your video's. They are very inspiring. Keep up the great work!

You’re inspiring bc you show us that you’re not perfect. The world wants us to believe that we should have our life already set/planned out when we graduate high school. And if you don’t, you’re classified a failure and your life is over.

Dude! You are easily one of the most uplifting guys on Youtube when it comes to coding. Keep it up!

I am currently in the stage of losing motivation in coding. It is a blessing that Youtube miraculously recommended this video to me. Thank you for your inspiring message, Dorian. Keep up the good work!

I was in n out of jail n while in corrections i earned my ged n promised myself I wud change forever n never go back to that life. Now I'm 10yrs sober from opiates n alcohol n hope to be a programmer. Keep making videos for us brother! Keep giving hope to the hopeless!!

24 and on my 2nd year of college majoring in CS. I was a high school dropout and came back to get my GED at 22 and now I'm moving forward. Whenever i lose motivation, I always see myself coming back to this video. There's days when life just hits me and I feel like I'm wasting my time by still being in school, but like you said, i gotta keep pushing and stay discipline!. By the time I'm 28, I'll be in a better position in life and I'll be able to make money and invest.

I am 38 years old and I am a freelance graphics designer. I lost my Fiverr profile and started how to learn code. Fiverr was the only marketplace where my money came from. I have $0.85 in my account. Man, you just made me cry! I am learning javascript now. I don't know how long it will take to learn web development but I am not gonna give up. I was looking for some motivational videos and here we are! I found you. You are the guy I was looking for. I subscribed and will follow your next instructions. God bless you.

I'm 32 now...been consistently pushing off coding for one excuse or another. Just got married this year and looking at kids and a house finally. I have a GED. Your story hits on a level that seems I was meant to hear. Thank you sir

This is an Etremely Valuable video. In my opinion, you could read many motivational books, go to motivational seminars, and trust me, you learn and get all the motivation you need in this 14 minute video. I'm going to save this link and offer to send it to anyone who I think should listen to it, or when I come across someone who decided to give up on the idea of a better future. I come across these situations often. WOW !!!! Thanks Dorian. An added note. Many of my friends who did time in prison, (nothing violent) became successful. I always asked how they did it. The answer was always the same. "I had no choice. I had to do it myselft. It was next to impossible to get a job and when I did, it barely paid me a living." Two examples, a friend of mine opened up an MMA Studio, and another made a nice income as a Barber and eventually opened his own successful Barbershop. PS. I don't know about you guys (gender neutral) but this video has taken my mind to the next level. Wonderful

I really respect you, I'm 24 and I've wasted my life on videogames and not gaining any real life experience out of anything, I've been pressured my whole life from my family to study and get a good education but I just was a lazy person in general and didn't care much about anything, just videogames and having fun. Entered the army at the age of 20 and got out at 22, then once I got out I worked as a security guard for a famous club then decided to drop it since it won't get me anywhere in life, then decided to put my degree in good use and started working in a resturant, it still doesn't get me anywhere and I had the exact same thought as you, I just looked at my 40 year old grumpy boss and said "I'm NOT going to let my life to end up like that" and just dropped the whole thing and started this coding journey, I may be overwhelmed but i'll get there eventually. ik it's long but you're pretty much relatable to me xD

Hey Dorian . Thank you for the motivation. I’m 29 years old. I have a similar origin as you. Although I’m a native English speaker I grew up in poverty without a father. I had my life awakening at 24 and decided to get an education. Spent 4 years getting a degree in Financial Economics while working as a fine dining server. I’m about a year into my career as a teacher and am looking for a change. I have been worried about being 29 with no coding or IT experience. Your content has truly motivated me to keep at it. I was recently extended a job offer to teach in Austin Texas. When I get there I’m going to enroll in a software development associates program and get some certifications and possible a boot camp under my belt. Thanks so much man.

Hello Dorian! A 30 years old here. After getting laid off, I am starting a new career path as you did. All the doubts from people around me and from myself have been haunting me at nights. Thank you for the video!
