I did that and I've ended up being mentally unstable, forgot of who I am and what I stand for. There's no point in destroying your old self because it will be always a part of you. Surpressing it is even worse since the parts of you that you deny are just getting stronger. Accept that you are procrastinating. Explore the fact. Why are you doing this? What does it give you that you actually care for? By finding the answear to that question you can modify your behaviour so that bothe the side that wants enjoyment and the side that wants achoevement is satisfied. All human have many faces, many needs that we're fulfilling just to function. But ofcourse there's a difference between filling the cup and making it spill. The key is the integration. Understanding that you're not bound to only one shelf.
