You nailed it on why it's good to carry a Zippo, I don't smoke and have mine for all these reasons. Plus it's also something cool to fidget with, long before that "fidget toys" was a thing!

I'm a King's Scout (Commonwealth Eagle Scout). My dad bought me a Zippo for my first camp and I've carried it ever since. I smoke a cigar maybe once a month, but the utility of having an instant flame in your pocket is so undervalued nowadays. When I'm in the field, it constantly comes in handy and it's earned a place in my pocket even when I'm in town.

bought my first brand new zippo (started collecting but only older lighters from antique shops), got a regular satin chrome, I don't smoke and I can relate totally to this video, and I love my new zippo

Nah, just one Zippo is not enough, i want more after getting one white Zippo as my birthday present from my wife since i always losing my cheap lighters after hanging out with friends🤣, still saving a leftover parking budget for armor Zippo 168.

I got my first and only (so far) Zippo about a year ago. I love it and I'm not a big smoker and would only use it for a Cigar every once in a while. I realized that the original inserts aren't good for cigars so I purchased the double butane insert and enjoy it. I'm thinking about carrying it on me daily after seeing this video. Usually it just sits at my computer desk and I'll mess around with it lol. Keep up the great content!

Strangely enough I used to carry a Zippo lighter to high school back around 2011. I would flick the lid back and forth like a fidget toy. Since I have ADHD sometimes it's hard for me to focus. Fidgeting with the Zippo lid helped relieve some anxiety.

I was just really surprised that my teacher didn't mind, though she did know I had ADHD and probably knew it was my way of coping. I still carry a Zippo to this day, and like you said in the video once you get one you end up wanting to get some more expensive ones, that's exactly what I did lol. Now I collect Zippo lighters.

I had no idea they had butane inserts. I bought mine 20 years ago for the looks and the fidgeting of opening and closing.

Great video🙂. Question not related to the video. I recently got a 1956 lossproof Zippo that needs a lanyard. Do you have any ideas how to get a lanyard for one of those? Thank for any info you may have ✌🙂

I've started to carry one and I've even had a few comments saying what's the point etc. I just tell them one because I can and because there are times having one is useful and would rather have one and not need it than need it and not have it. I have found out about a company called S.T Dupont and I aint going to lie I'm temped to pick one up although if I did I wouldn't ever get of my zippo as I do really like the one I have.

All great points, by the looks of the comment section here I'm def not the only non smoker to carry a zippo. Now i just need to stop being lazy and switch to cotton bacon and start using the sandwich bag trick to get my fuel to last.
