I really loved the comment about reading a book differently depending where you are in life. I recently reread the Harry Potter books, for probably the 5th or 6th time, but I haven't read them for about 4 or 5 years. The last time I read them, I'd never experienced losing someone I loved. What struck me on this reading was how emotional the deaths made me, particularly Harry's descriptions of grief (especially over dumbledore - the admiration I had for my grandad felt sinular to how Harry saw albus). Even tho I know they happen, they just struck me in a way they never did before, because I'm a different person than I was then

Ari and Dante absolutely took over my life when I read it and it was one of those books I thought about for months after I read it. Also I read Caraval at a time where I wasn't really liking anything I read and it was such a breath of fresh air. On the other hand.... I hated Pride and Prejudice lmao. It took me so long to read and I saw a tweet that said "its just a bunch of people going to other peoples houses" and yea.

As someone who both loves to read and is dead inside/struggles to get invested in most books, I loved hearing the comments and positivity here. Even though I haven't read or was meh on most (not all!) of these titles. I haven't read Six of Crows, maybe I should, but I feel you person who loves it for making them forget the page count! That is a rare gift indeed 📚💕 Sometimes you love a book for transporting you, sometimes for rousing your emotions, for technical artistic excellence; whatever the reason we all need different things from books sometimes, but it always means the world to find those ones that have just our kind of essential magic ❤️

My favourite stand-alone novel is probably The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks. It made me cry. The ending broke my heart it’s so sad. I love this book!

I love this video! Maybe in an upcoming video you could give all the books a number in the list, so you know which place they have in the ranking and which is number 1, 2, 3 etc. :)

Hailey girl, whatt? Definitely, you have the read Where the Crawdads Sing! I’m pretty sure you’re going to like it. It’s a book that I wouldn’t typically enjoy but it’s just so different and it indeed is atmospheric!

I am so surprised about Six of Crows I thought the found family was okay at best and felt just like sets of couples and the plot felt like it had no stakes since they seemed to easily accomplish everything! Addie Larue is one of my favs and understandably polarizing ahaha

Where the crawdads sing is my absolute favourite book of all time so far! The emotion in the story, the main character and the scenery around her that was painted in my mind was absolutely beautiful!
I feel a little sceptical to watch the movie adaptation because it can NEVER live up to how it looks in my mind! :)

I love this video!!! I want more! You should definitely do one by genre!

Clockwork princess: Can still make me cry thinking of it. I picked up Shadowhunter academy like years after I read clockwork princess and as soon as I read the Will and Tessa scene tears welled in my eyes haha
Anne of Green Gables: All time favorite. Had to read it for a uni class and fell in love. Now I am collecting L.M Montgomerry books and it might eventually rival your Alice collection ;p
ACOMAF: Game changer for me when I read it.
The rest not my jam. But interesting to hear!!
