In 2024 I am attempting to accomplish something I never thought possible, even though I have always considered myself a lifelong reader: read a hundred books a year.

Yes, you read that right, in 2024 I'm attempting to read 100 books a year.

By attempting this, I am openly defying an argument I have often made on my channel--that one cannot read 100 books a year if one is busy with life, work, kids, school, socializing, etc.

But I did a little research, and I discovered a few tips and tricks to reading 100 books a year, and I'm going to use those tips and tricks over the course of 2024 to attempt what I formerly thought impossible.

When I was in high school To Kill a Mockingbird was required reading. Now it's being banned for "racism". I would include "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand and "Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury.

I liked ‘To Kill A Mockingbird, ’ when I read it a few years back. Also the movie was great too. However, my favorite book of all time is ‘The Outsiders, ’ by S.E. Hinton. I loved the movie too. I saw the Broadway play and enjoyed it.

Egads. I disagree with every book on this list (or haven’t read six). If you twist my arm I can see a case for Animal Farm but you’d have to twist hard to put it before 1984.

Wow this was an odd list! Ok I love Twilight, but top greatest book of all time? I have The Book Thief on my shelf and I haven't gotten around to reading it. Also I have never read a Harry Potter book, but I plan on reading book one in September for a readathon.

I have yet to read The Chronicles of Narnia. I have wanted to for a while. Same for Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit. I have read Animal Farm, but it was a long time ago. Twilight!!! Yikes. I have read it and only because I wanted to understand the hype. I read a bunch of other vampire books at the same time. I have never been able to make it through The Book Thief and I have tried multiple times. To Kill a Mockingbird is my favorite book of all time. I have not read any Austen. I have only read the first 4 Harry Potter books as they were getting too dark for me. I have only read the first Hunger Games book, again to understand the hype. This was a bizarre list in my opinion.

I’m not sure, but it seems like this list was complied by teenagers - several of the books are YA. I mean, Twilight on a list of the ten greatest books of all time?😂

Who made this? Teenagers? There are 2 or 3 that I consider great books, but the rest are not examples of great literature.

Two or three of these books are great books but maybe only Animal Farm makes the top ten, To Kill a Mockingbird would be close. The rest well Narnia in the top 100 the rest nowhere.
