Mariana Zapata books are so slow, but it works because of the side characters and relationships and the character growth. In All Rhodes Lead Here, the couple gets together 2/3 of the way through instead of at the 90% mark. Plus, the audiobook was fantastic.

I'm so amused because I did this to my shelves and at the top of the list is Tempest by Nicole Ciacchella with a 5.00 average rating because I'm the only person on Goodreads who has read it! I had such a good time with that book I can't believe no one else has read it, it's a little mermaid retelling with Bridge Kingdom vibes 👌

This was really fun to watch! Doing one with the worst books would be something I'll definitely watch but girl you're gonna kill me when I tell you that I did not like still beating:( I really like dark and graphic stuff so when I heard it had all of that I was excited but it let me down I can't say it was a bad book but I didn't believe in their romance 🙃

Really loved the concept of this video! I def have to read Legends and Lattes. Sounds so freaking cute!

And on my top #1 (according to GR) is "The sun does shine" by Anthony Ray Hinton. It was such a hard book to read but so good (cried my eyes out tho)

Based on how you felt about Circe and Song of Achilles, I'd recommend *A Thousand Ships by Natalie Haynes!* I felt the same way that Madeline Miller's books were just not for me, even though in theory they should be something I liked. But I really enjoyed a Thousand Ships and I still am constantly thinking about it. Like I legit can't think of Odysseus or the Odyssey anymore without thinking of Penelope because she is so much more interesting. And the shit these women had to put up with from these men who are seen as heros is so frustrating but also exhilarating to read about when they're able to change the story (A Thousand Ships made me a Clytemnestra stan)
