I know boiling it would kill any parasites on or inside it but isn't that just plain unsightly? Presentation is half the enjoyment of a meal and to see eggs and worms so plainly on the shell is intensely off putting...

The black spots and worm parasites are crab leeches or kanibiru. They are an indicator of good quality in Japan. More kanibiru means the crab has more meat (hasn't molted)

I just ate the most delicious snow crab🤤. Enjoyed it so much that I looked for snow crab videos however I’m starting to regret my decision. 🪱

Yummy crab for my tummy. I went to Okinawa some time before covid and had this snow crab at a restaurant in the airport. Yummy one of the best crabs I've tasted. Watching this makes me one to go again and surely Crabs will be up there on the to do list 🦀🦀🦀. Great video. 👍Thanks.

Saw worms in a cooked crab 3 years ago(we didn't eat it), never ate crab since. This just refreshed one of the most horrific moments in my life 🤢🤢🤢

For everyone making fun of the bubbles, don't get me wrong I love seafood but it's suffocating..they create bubbles to try and breathe out of water have a nice day!

The eggs actually mean that the crab lived for a very long time in natural environment, thus ensuring its freshness. The worms too, they can never get ‘inside’ the crab, so you dont get to eat them :)

Well you guys did it.. You finally found a way to make me NOT want to eat crab 😭🤢😷

Thank god the boiling made the eggs easy to scrape off and the parasites dead easily. But still.. I'll pass lol.
