To let everyone know, the lobster died peacefully. They wouldn’t of felt this because they were asleep. Putting lobster in ice makes them sleep.

fun fact: lobsters are technically immortal and only have two ways to die
1) if they are eaten by something else
or
2) when they get so big that molting takes too much energy so they slowly starve to death in a shell that’s too tight to move
