Curious to see what the inside of an electric guitar looks like so we took a saw to it! Is it plastic? Wood? Hollow? We figured it out and had some fun. Come learn as we did. This Guitar is a Hammer Slammer not a Fender guitar but it played really nice.

If you are looking to buy an Electric Guitar, here is one from Amazon:

didn't you just take off the pick guard?

As a guitar player, it's funny to hear someone who isn't familiar with it try to explain how a guitar works

As a guitar player I was cringing when he was explaining the inside lol

Ack!!! MY INNER GUITAR TECH IS SCREAMING!! All the possibilities... that nice maple. I'm gonna go hug my Gibson and play my Fender Bass for a bit... I love your videos but as a musician... hoo. I need to lay down.

I'm a guitar player... You could have just unbolted it instead of ruining it. Haha

Q: what would you see if you sawed a guitar in half?
A: the same stuff you'd find if you undid a dozen or so screws.

It would be sick if you cut open the 100, 000 subscriber YouTube button if you got it

Still waiting on what's inside an aluminum bat!

Guitarist here. I'm dying of cringing. Just use google. Seriously. That was a perfectly good guitar (probably not to snappy quality wise since it's a Hamer)

I'm pretty sure you have got a lot of these, but it bugs me since they don't make that brand anymore, it's yours and you can do whatever you want with it but it feels like you broke something irreplacable, also, taking the pickguard would have done the same thing, or maybe use a guitar that's not a collectors item

Opening a guitar for science is like burning a country flag XD

This is such a great channel idea, in a few years i could picture you being in a massive shed with your massive saw cutting things open with 3, 000, 000 subscribers

The thing is you guys were at 100, 000 subs in August and about 4 months later you have gained about 878, 298 subscribers. Great Job Lincoln! Keep it up lads.

Whats inside an Xbox controller? (360/1)

You could've litterally taken off the scratch plate and the pickups and seen its just wood and wires without cutting it in half...

Could've taken off the back cavity cover and the pickguard and pretty much seen the same thing. A chambered guitar like a cheap Epiphone Les Paul could've been more interesting cut open that way. Pretty cool though.

Wouldn't it have been simpler just to unscrew everything?

you should do "what's inside an iPhone?". All of the spoiled 9 year olds will be butthurt because their god is being cut open.

yeah that little toggle switch doesn't change the tone, it selects which pickup to connect to the volume/tone knobs then the the output jack. from left to right the positions are
1) neck pickup
2) neck/middle pickup
3)middle pickup
4) middle/bridge pickup
5)bridge pickIup.
also the chunk of metal you said the spring fell from was the bridge, the spring was atached from the bridge to the body to allow the bridge to rock back and forward via a metel rod screwed into the front/bottom part of the bridge to alter the tension and pitch of the strings. aka a tremolo bridge. and the oval things with the magnets were the pickups.
