I think the cool thing about Helldivers is that these new types of enemies are just appearing out of nowhere, like the flying bugs. The only reason people found out was because people were posting about it, and the devs even denied that these were actual enemies (in the role of Super Earth, of course). Hell, I was even starting to believe them up until a few days ago when I encountered the flying bugs for the first time.

Plus, the devs are sort of drip feeding content to us, not too much, but maybe every few weeks or so, plus every few days either faction pushes back and forces the player base to log on and do their part.

I do wonder about how Helldivers 2 will eventually die though, will it be quick, or will players slowly leave? Or will Helldivers 2 ever die since the war is constant and will likely never end? After all, it's rumoured that a third faction is coming soon, which likely means we'll have more later down the line.

If things go as planned and tibit gets liberated, I would assume a bit of calm time and a sudden invasion of the 3rd faction could be next. But if the major order fails, the pushback of the automatons goes forward and cyberstan along with the 3rd faction goes immediate. It might even have both north and south of the galactic map occupied. Just a theory.
