Quick correction: There was no 16 inch MacBook Pro in 2015. By 16 inch I mean 15 inch.

I agree with every point. I'm using the 14" Mac Book Pro for coding and Manufacturing Engineering. the slightly bigger screen of the 16" I don't need because when I work I have it mostly docked it to two 27 inch monitors and when on the go Im comfortable with the 14inch screen for lighter tasks. The battery life might be better on the 16" of course but the one the 14" offers us more than enough for me and already better than any windows laptop can offer.

Luckily I'm used to having a heavy backpack so the extra weight isn't an issue. I have only one computer and I'm not always able to use the desk in my one bedroom apartment (my wife also works from home) so I find the extra screen size makes a difference when working from my kitchen table, which is most of the time.

yeah same here with 16". It really isn't portable.
