Why does the title have "Brutally Honest " in it? Are not the other reviews honest? Or are they not "brutal"??

I’m sorry but this review was total waste of time. Somebody should have told me that the first half of the entire video would be telling me about smudges and cord color options. Then the actual performance metrics were ones you could get anywhere online. Finally the only first-hand info was around gaming performance!

AI should know the audience and who the prospective buyers are going to be. Who’s spending 4k+ for a mediocre gaming rig??? This should have been focused on professional users doing video work, high-end imagery, and perhaps some use-cases for 3D work.

I think Apple’s Vision Pro line is gonna serve as a motivation for their silicon team to hit high graphics performance at brutally low power consumption, moving forward.

The MBP 16 has a lot of bulk but is hardly "heavy" given the horsepower it has.

I agree with you completely. The middle ground of 64 gb of memory, 40 gpu, , 16 cpu, and a terabyte of storage is the sweet spot. That is what I ordered.

I appreciate your honest take on the space black model in regards to the fingerprints. I feel like a lot of Youtubers have just been sugarcoating and saying this new model you don’t see any fingerprints at all, however, in various videos, you can see fingerprints. Thanks for the video! Do you think there's a significant difference between the M3 Max with 14 CPU, 30 GPU, 36GB RAM, 1TB and the M3 Max with 16 CPU, 40 GPU, 48GB RAM, 1TB? I'll be using it for video editing in 4K, sometimes 8K, After Effects, and work in DaVinci. Thanks!

Is that the BIG Max (16/40) or the small MAX (14/30)? As you say 64GB of RAM it must be the BIG (48/64/128) not the small (36/96)

Amateur question, but since I’m going from a late 2019 Intel to the M3 Max, can I still charge the computer via the USB-C/lightning port? MagSafe is cool, and I’ll likely most often use it, but I have grown pretty fond of having a single cable in my bag that works across all my devices.

yeah the size of th 14" vs 16" was the toughest choice for me, but you cant have everything, there are always trade offs.
This year I stuck with the m3 max 16" because the extra screen real estate does help with the work I do when I dont use an external monitor.
The 14" is really nice in terms of portability and convenience, but since Im spending over 3k on a laptop I want the screen to be usable for my case!

$4K for a laptop with a GPU other than a 4090 in it is highway robbery.
The Base 16" M3 Pro is far in excess of what the average user needs. If you're in 3D rendering, coding, programming, or high res video editing, then you might need a fully specked out M3 Max. I just can't imagine who would use 128GB of RAM save for working professionals. Cyberpunk 2077 doesn't even use that on its absolute highest settings.
