I like this, that you are posting shorts. It teasers the episode and because of it I found an episode that I overlooked before. Even better I would find 5-10 minute videos, that focus on one specific topic, just like peter attia. Thank you for this meaningful content.

Finally - people need to see the studies data

30 days clean from vaping. I've always lived a very active lifestyle but have seen significant improvements in my sleep, breathing, run times, and anxiety levels.

Why would we ever think that something like this wasn't harmful?
It's obvious what's good for us and what isn't, that's not going to change whether people are going to do it or stop doing it.

There’s a saying in Pharmacology, “The dose makes the poison.” So what’s the dosage that these studies tested? Many studies I’ve seen use dosages that far exceed what a regular person uses. Anecdotal reports are hard to evaluate since we don’t know these individual’s medical history, or other factors at play.

I’m not saying that vaping is totally safe, but there’s not enough context here to accurately gauge the risks

Vaping has allowed me to quit smoking cigarettes/tobacco altogether, the difficulty about quitting vaping now is that it's so convenient. I still however, see vaping as less harmful than smoking cigarettes as they contain way more harmful chemicals and substances.

I was using iQos for a year and a half, it helped me quit cigarette, however, the downside to E-cigarettes is their detrimental effects on liver. Since I always check my liver and kidney status, both of them showed bad signs related to their main functional criteria. E.g. high ALT, and AST which are related to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Then I delved into the previous researches on this topic (e-cigarettes) and I got the idea it might be true since RCT results showed positive correlation.! I quit the damn iQos right away, also the same case for vapes.

Ive started smoking at 13 yo, one pack a day durinf 10 years. Then i swtiched to vape at age 23 and im now 33, so 10 years that i have been vaping. 6 mg nicotine e juice. I have never wanted to switch to disposables and salt nicotine. I remember coughing my lungs out when i was smoking, whistling breath, , a lof of greenish/brown mucus a few times a day and especially on the mornings. Since i vape, all those have disappeared and I run marathon. So really, i still think that TYPICAL vapes and juices are 95% safer than cigarette. It is still an excellent harm reduction item. And i dont have any health or breathing issues so im not sure this video is not backgrounded by the tobacco multinationals that fight hard to get vape banned because they are loosing too much money since people quitted cigarettes ...

I just cleaned a house where the people who lived in it vaped. There was a sticky residue on walls, ceilings and fixtures as bad or worse than nicotine stains that I have seen in the past.

Thank you, could we have a link to at least 2 of those studies.

The best thing is to not pick up any of these habits in the first place.

but you cannot deny the fact that ppl do quit smoking by smoothly transfer from cigeratte to vape. It's all about let the industry to be strict on what they made and have the store ban those untested vapes

Andrew, would you be willing to do a research on "5 Tibetan rites" as a means to reverse ageing?

Blah blah blah…I’m sick of people saying “there are lots of studies out there showing….”. Just because you say it doesn’t mean it’s true. Quote and reference the actual studies so people can make their own minds up

Makes me freaked out about getting lung cancer and I don’t smoke or vape lol

You are absolutely right. There is a lot of chemicals in E-Cigarettes and they have after effect on human health.
Another issue to be looked into by Food Nutritionists /Scientists is some commercially produced Vegetarian foods such as *it tastes like meat and it tastes like fish *. Some chemicals used to enhance the taste of these foods may have aftereffects on human health.
