You can also put a Fender/Squier baritone conversion neck on any regular body. That’s how I created my 6.5lb, low-buck mahogany Squire ‘69 thinline baritone partscaster. True story.

So I guess you could do that if you want the ice pick in your ear sounding Squier pickups under a decent MIM neck. Or maybe you'd want to put those mediocre MIM pickups under a Squier roller coaster height fret neck that takes a full hour to level. I used to work on these things and Squiers made me want to throw myself off a roof. The biggest reason this is done is for thieves selling the MIM neck/Squier loaded body as an MIM guitar to some unsuspecting noob buyer for double what it's worth.

I have put a Fender Subsonic baritone neck on my Squier Tele. Best investment ever. The neck is the most important part of the guitar, while the body is just a body.

I put a Fender Classic Series neck on a Squire CV and it transformed it into a far better guitar. I personally dislike Squire necks because they’re thinner and the feel is weird.
