Soooo good. Been searching forever to find ways to do central storage but most YouTube videos just give a blueprint instead of teaching how it works. Awesome video!

Double the throughput! After unlocking steel tiers you can double the throughput by using Industrial Storage Containers and running two belts out of the truck/train station. Each belt will be a copy of the other with the same smart splitters and one belt for each top and bottom input on the container. Just make sure to add a second Awesome Sink as well!

I love the look of this. Very visually pleasing. And like others too have commented, I think the extra materials and effort going into creating the waterfall display is totally worth it.

I love that belt left next to to the container that visually signals that the storage is filling, never seen that before.

For the item display, what I typically do is remove the foundation in front of the container outlet and then place it one meter lowered. Then, I build a belt from the outlet to at most 4 meters away from the container on the lower foundation. Then, I remove the foundation and the conveyor pole and place the foundation back one meter upwards. It now looks like the items flow out the container straight onto the ground, and they dont float at the front of the belt.

Very nice video!

I've played a little bit of Satisfactory but not too much, but I am getting super hyped for 1.0 and this video was so helpful. I already got the basic idea, but they way you layed everything out and explained things, as well as showcasing some of the different ways of doing things is really great! I have a lot of confidence now going forward that it won't be any problem to pull it off. Thanks so much! Definitely subscribing to see more stuff!

it's good to see you. Been awhile. I become pretty good at game myself, thanks to your videos too. Nice to see that you have uploaded new one

Very nice storage options. Laying them out in the world next to the storage is a great idea and can be used right away. I really like this one.

very nice tutorial! I actually spent many hours getting my waterfall display system to always cycle even after the container is full. takes a lot of room and several smart splitters

Thank you so much for explaining it this way. Not sure what exactly you said but it finally made it click in my head. Thank you! Will definitely be checking out your other videos :)

I needed rhis. I was having a hard time figuring out your storage area build on one of your timelapse build. Just finished copying your 2nd timelapse vid. And im on the way making the coal mine upgrade. Thanks for your vids.

I didn't realize overflow worked to send other items along the belt, that makes setting this up much easier. What I have been doing is splitting off what I want to the side and then to go forward, I have Any Undefined. But then on the belt going to the container, I had to add another smart splitter with an overflow that looped back to a merger on the main belt. An Awesome Sink sits at the end of the main belt. I put the splitters above the walking area so I can have 2 sets of containers facing each other, so you have both sides of the aisle to pick from.

I use the first container on one side as a trash drop off. Anything in that container goes right into a sink. I use the first container on the other side to dump off anything to get recycled and sorted back into containers. Before sorting into containers, I send them through an adjacent building to be pre-processed. I convert leaves and wood into biofuel, slugs into shards, flowers to color cartridges, remains into animal protein and even grab some other items to build all my weapon ammo. Then all these items go back to the main sorting line to be put in containers.

I did this 2 years ago and i added a few things: a dedicated drop off box for dumping inventory, 2 large "lost and found" containers for anything that cannot be sorted and some constructors to take care of leaves, wood and flowers. However, I did not connect it to any of the production. But i had a 3rd large container connected to a sink to free up my "lost and found" boxes.
Funny how many times i fished out equipment that i dropped by accident.

Thank you, great to the point description. I will gladly use this system.

Backlight the waterfall with a light panel for extra ooo-la-la effect.

Thanks for making this. I had exactly the same idea and I tried building it and I couldn’t get it to work. But I was using the “any” selection on my smart splitters.

man this was so cool, still learning the game never occurred to me to drop items for decoration lol
