The bigger crime here is that child support is so low. Children need more than $324/month to be adequately fed, clothed, housed, educated and medically provided for.

Let’s not take potshots at the defendant’s appearance. It was her behavior—not her looks—that brought her to court. She has likely suffered insults about her appearance all her life, and that is sad. She is, however, a weasel for stealing money from her own kid.

I would have LOVED to hear what the defendant wrote in her written statement, or to have heard what her defense was. In what world did she think it would be okay to pocket child support payments when she hadn't had her child in MONTHS? I can't imagine the ridiculous excuses the plaintiff had to deal with regarding her ex-SIL's inability to be a decent human being.

I got custody of my nephew when he was 9 and now he’s a grown man and my second favorite person… my first favorite person is his amazing girlfriend. Custodial Aunties rock!!!

I'm just stunned at the number of people in this country who are on disability. Either doctors are signing off illegally or social workers do a piss-poor job of investigating. I despise that my tax dollars go to support freeloaders who will not work.
