Man what a wonderful film. A grieving widow with misplace anger, found beauty in the world through the kindness of neighbors. His deceased why gave meaning to his life and he thought that meaning was gone with her passing. This movie was deep. Otto the world still needed him. He has so much to offer the world. That scene about big heart, was poetic. Otto is a man with a big heart and lots of love to give in every sense of the word. “The annoying neighbors “ was one of the many little things that prevented him from departing this world before his time. I love and love this film. I don’t understand why he did not leave his house to his wife ex-pupil, who is now homelessness, with 4 jobs.

It's cute when otto goes to the cemery to visit his wife and he tells her that he has a cat—even though he doesn't like it at first. My tears dropped in the scene when Otto mesmerized her wife about how the incident happened.
I didn't expect Otto to die because I know Sonya wants him to live more. He tried suicide four times, but it always failed—he's unlucky.
I'm going to rewatch this movie soon.

It's a really nice film with a nice message. The people on here complaining seem like pretty jaded individuals. If you like the gruffer Gran Torino or have a problem with a transgender character, well no one held a gun to your head. Amazing how some ppl were able to come on here and act more negative and cynical than a movie about a guy who is seemingly negative... 🙄
