Ah Fire Red, this is so nostalgic because I also caught a shiny Ekans in exactly Route 4 which is crazy. I also remember catching a Shiny Pidgey in a cave those are the only two Shinies I caught in Gen 3

You know whats funny about how rare shinies are?
I have been playing pokemon since the original Red, Blue and Yellow was released. And I can say with confidence, to this day, I have NEVER encountered a single shiny in my entire life!

I started hunting Shinies in Pokemon X and Y which was easier with Fishing Chain and other items method and still took me long time to ensemble a Party of 6 decent shiny pokemons. In older Generations I was only able to do it with Gameshark. Kudos my friend, great video.

FireRed was my favourite pokemon - I’m actually colourblind so I’ve often wondered if I missed shinys back in the day because I just couldn’t tell there was any difference between the shiny and the normal 😂😭
