Dude. I just wanna thank you. We are out here camping and my tent stopped zipping last night, i was able to get it shut after an hour of messing with it but this morning i came into town ready to buy a new freaking tent at a ridiculous price but decided to youtube my issue. Hyram: what a useful video. First cool evening in NYC and pulled out my leather jacket to walk the dog. The metal zipper was not holding. Drat! Thinking I had to bring this to a leather repair shop, I was about to google repair sources here in Manhattan. Instead, I took a chance and surfed over to YouTube. Your excellent video was the first to pop up. You saved me. Thank you so much. Could not believe how easy it was to get a good grip back on this zipper with my small bottle nose pliers. All Viewers: Hyram is right: don't over correct at the mouth. Gently clamp down, a little at a time until the teeth engage easily. Everyone Loves Zippers, thank you.

I never thought this would work. You enabled me to fix my fairly expensive Vanson leather jacket. The sleeve zipper was only on 1 side of the zipper. Once i fixed that, the teeth would not engage.
