Welcome to my channel where today I dive deep into the world of automotive clearcoat! In this how-to video, I break down the crucial differences between 1K and 2K clearcoat for your car, helping you achieve that flawless finish every time.

Discover why acrylic urethane 2K clearcoat is the go-to choice for durability, with its ability to withstand UV rays and harsh conditions, compared to the less resilient 1K option. I'll show you step-by-step how to mix up lime line Acrylic urethane clearcoat at a 4:1 ratio and demonstrate the precise technique using a lime line 1.4 pro gun to apply four coats for that perfect finish.

I know NOTHING about painting and i love the content. I have a gun and compressor and all the needed accessories. This coming spring im going to try the process. HOWEVER, one question - with such a huge fan pattern it seems there would be a lot of wasted material, overspray, spray dust, etc. Is that not the case?? Thank you!

Can you do a comparison of this 4:1 clear and your 2:1 Glamour Clear and how they match up to HOK UC-35? I have used UC-35 for many many years now and I love how easy it is to use and how good it lays out and how it has better chemical and fuel resistance than their final clear UFC-35, but I don't like the price anymore and I would rather start ordering from you guys anyway. Thanks for the info and all the videos!

do you apply it on when the paint is dry ?

Nice job, but why are u using a HVLP instead a RP for the clearcoat? Normally u want a higher application of the material and the RP is typically the better choice.

Komponente is a German Word. That's right. But: Component (from Latin componens 'that which composes') is the original.
