30 days to cut and polish Spraymax 2k?! C'mon, man...24 hours, 2 days depending on weather. Sooner in a heat booth. It continues to harden for UP TO 30 days depending on weather, but at 68-75 degrees and humidity sub 50% for 24 hours should be enough.

This is horseshit, must be a paid review. Maxx is a real 2K, dries harder, sprays smoother and is head and shoulders above Rep. I've used both, there is no comparison. Spend the extra cash and get the Maxx, you'll regret it if you don't.

Good info. I have been able to lay pretty thick coats with the Car-Rep 2K. Impressed with it so far!

Spraymax makes a new Acrylic 2k headlight specific clear coat designed for plastic lens. These two that you're reviewing are urethane clear coats, which are known to often delaminate/peel off of plastic or even craze, etc. Could you make a video testing out this product? Would be great to see!

I've never tried Spraymax 2K (I don't like the fact that it has a 48 hour life)

I tried Car-Rep 2K for the first time when I painted my trunk and it turned out amazing. The only thing that sucks is that it's very expensive here in Canada. I paid $30 bucks for Car-Rep 2K.

everybody talks about 48 hr shelf life ? I been using this on my car and can tell you its been absolutely fine to use on and of over the past week. Its exactly the same brand you have there 2 Max

It does not seem to dry as hard as Spray Max. After a month of curing, the Car-rep clearcoat seems to sand down rapidly even with 1000 grit.

Anyone know why Spraymax wouldn’t catalyze fully after 4 days of +90 degree temperature with relative humidity under 60%?

Does not replace 2k. I've had 3 test sheets drying for a little over 30 days. And all 3 are scratched with just my fingernails with low pressure. It also scratches when the above mentioned scratches are rubbed with a terry cloth. Also, the beautiful glossy wet look it has after applying the last coat fades in just under 2 weeks.

SprayMax is head and shoulders above Car Rep...Car Rep is horrible clear. It's weak and scratches easy

About the crazing in the lens that you mentioned... did the clear coat and polish actually make it less visible? I don't see signs of crazing in the lens, so quite naturally I'm curious about whether it has vanished, or still there (but less apparent) and whether or not this can slow down further deterioration.
