✅Ingredients

• 2 lobster tails
• 1/2 cup salted butter melted
• 1 teaspoon minced garlic
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
• 1 large lemon cut into wedges

✅Instructions

1️⃣ Turn on the broiler setting in your oven and let it preheat.

2️⃣ 00:00:16 - Use kitchen shears or a sharp knife to slice open the lobster tail lengthwise to expose the meat inside. Place on a small, ungreased baking sheet.

3️⃣ 00:00:47 - In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, garlic, salt, and pepper. Drizzle over lobster exposed lobster meat.

4️⃣ 00:01:31 - Place baking sheet 6 inches beneath broiler and let broil until the meat is no longer translucent, 5 to 10 minutes. Watch closely. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.

5️⃣ 00:01:58 - Squeeze juice over lobster meat just before eating.


Notes
You can easily make 4 lobster tails with this amount of butter.

Literally went through a dozen of YT lobster tail recipes and this is by far the simplest, fastest and yet the best of all of them. Made surf and turf for the wife as a ninja (surprise) Valentine's dinner as I knew we were both getting out of work late and would be too tired to go out and wait an hour for a table. Needless to say she said that it was the best (and cheapest) valentines dinner for the past 36 years we've been celebrating. Thanks for this post- now I only have to worry about how to top this next year :)

Thank you so much for not adding too many spices. I went to a restaurant, ordered two tales they were so covered in spice and over salted. And over cooked !! I sent it back. Lobster doesn't need anything but salted butter to dip the meat into. That is the best. ❣️

After looking at many recipes and methods of preparing lobster tails, I choose this one and am so glad I did. It was easy and I loved the way you explained everything step by step. I am so happy you mentioned the rack placement in the oven for broiling the lobster tails. I prepared this for a stay at home New Year's Eve dinner. It was delicious and very easy!!!

Looks great! I noticed in some videos, people remove the digestive tract from the tail, but in other videos, like this one, it’s not removed/mentioned. Anyone have an explanation for this?

I selected to bake my 2-tails. Being my first try, it was a bit confusing. However, I did the best I could, cooked a bit longer and they were scrumptious. Yes, it was easy.

Not sure why after you cut the shell, you did not remove the meat from the shell, then place it on top of shell. That saves a lot of hard work when eating, no?
