It is hard to justify buying a $1000 dollar phone with an Exynos processor especially when games tend to be optimized for Snapdragon processors.

I want to best of everything when I purchase a flagship.

Probably not the most wanted solution, but they should consider using their in-house chip on their lower-end models and save the higher-end models for the Snapdragon.

From the exynos vs snapdragon camera comparisons I've seen, I actually prefer the image processing of the exynos more, which is good for me since I have the exynos variant here in the EU.

Samsung should totally give consumer a choice right from the box, consumers are not able to tell which is which until they run a benchmark or something.

The issue with importing a Samsung Galaxy s22 Ultra isn't just the network bands but the absence of warranty cover due to the nonsense region policy that completely strips any imported device of any form of warranty.

Why is that exynos geekbench score so low? I've never had a score that low even benchmarking on release before any updates..

Yea at this point it is sad this is still the spilt issue with Samsung

I got the S22 Ultra (Exynos) in the UK. After several weeks, I decided to go back to my iPhone 13 Pro Max as I missed the battery and smoothness. I felt that even though the S22 Ultra was smooth and performed nicely, there was some slowdown here (Youtube videos became stuttery at random intervals) and there, photos were inconsistent and well I just couldn't justify the huge price/dissapointment. Happy to be back on my iPhone 13 Pro Max really did miss that battery and responsiveness.
I hope the S23 comes with the Snapdragon chipset in the UK, but looking at the current trend of Samsung using Exynos with every midrange/low end device now I doubt that will happen. Such a shame really. I actually really liked the S22 Ultra when everything worked.

Can you get 4g in the UK with the snapdragon varient, with an EE SIM in?

Samsung should ditch snapdragon and focus on there own chipset and make it powerful as it was before in devices before s9 or s8 and also optimise it for battery consumption, like really, standby is so bad, my s22 ultra almost drops 10 percent overnight. Rather than focusing on 2 chipsets, samsung shud focus on exynos and optimise the way apple and huawei are doing.

They need to collaborate directly with ARM like Apple does to optimize what they have, possibly working with other manufacturers as well to understand what works.

Fascinating! The image quality with the Exynos looks waaay superior to the Qualcomm in the photo of you! The T shirt, the sky, the overall quality, seems excellent! MUCH better than the Qualcomm! ?

the fact that Samsung uses two chips is due to an issue of patents and rights. For example, in the United States, Samsung cannot use any chip other than Qualcom.

I think the exynos chipset is not fully supported in the US in terms of bands which is why it’s never used there. I know this used to be the case I’m not sure if it is still the case now. Soo the only choice is for Samsung to use the snapdragon everywhere which will cost them alot more money

Holy crap yes COD mobile is shocking on the 2200.. will there be an update to optimise it to be better

It makes it hard when there is 2. I always wanted a Snapdragon. Australia always gets Exynos 98% of the time. This year we got the Snapdragon. But it was the one year I wanted Exynos as I was looking forward to the AMD chip. Am loving the 8 green 1 though. They need to stick to one chip take there time get it right and optimise it. It could really take on the iPhone then and battery would be even better.

From an iPhone user, I don’t understand how Samsungs own chip in their own device doesn’t perform as well.

Exynos 2200 after latest small update last night 1150 SC /3370MC plus better SOT so it's all in how much Samsung wants to optimise they can go full beast mode like Apple did but USA networks are difficult for Exynos version so they keep a balance for the moment until they figure out The ONE chip to rule all markets.
