My Beaufort has a chest measurement of 52 inch's and has a C44 label, what does the C stand for if not chest size ?
I have other Barbour jackets that have an XL instead of a C .
My Beadle original was an XL with a 56 chest, I sold it on line and bought another XL with a 50 inch chest .
Great jackets, though a nightmare in trying to get or workout the sizing

Magnificent jacket. I'm thinking of buying the same one. I've tried it in the store and size M is a little tight and uncomfortable if you want to put a vest or a blazer underneath. Maybe better with a size L. I'm 1.78 cm tall and I weigh 70 kg.

I have an Ashby in black with hood a the compatible quilted liner bought direct from Barbour. It is one of my favourite jackets. Easier to wear than my Canada Goose and North Face. The adaptability makes it a “go-to”, all seasons jacket.

My first Barbour jacket was this Bedale in 2003. Its sleeves lining deteriorated and had to be replaced. But i wax the jacket myself and it is not difficult with patience. I am tempted to try that new Bedale.

Great video. My Ashby is currently back at Barbour UK having the nylon sleeve liner replaced (as suggested by other users) it’s such a huge drawback of the jacket as use the jacket enough and the sleeves do sweat! It’s been very reasonable though - I was quoted £35 for both sleeves to be changed

Is the Barbour Ashby winter jacket as tight fitting as the duke jacket. I am size large and would like to know if Ashley Winter jacket in large would be okay. Thanks

Bought a zip in liner but not sure what size I needed, have a large Ashby and bought a 44 and it runs a bit big. Do you recommend a 42 or 40? Cheers

Barbour put nylon lined sleeves in this coat though…instead of having an extension of the main tartan cotton lining …like the Beaufort……makes your arms sweat terribly….often come back from light walking ie shopping etc and Im wringing wet in the sleeves only! 😖
